Below is a summary of the procedure for regarding Belgian documents to be used in the UAE.
Diploma
The legalization of diplomas from schools recognized by the Belgian government follows this procedure:
- Signing of the diploma by the school
- Legalization by the competent Community
- Legalization by the Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs
- Legalization by the Embassy of the country of destination, in this case the Embassy of the UAE in Brussels
If the local authorities keep asking for certificates of equivalence of diploma. In that case, only the relevant Community is authorized to do so. This document must therefore be legalized in Belgium for use in the UAE.
