From 1 July 2026, the handling fee for long-stay visas will be €250.
Do you already have an appointment? If your appointment is after 30 June, you will need to pay €250 when submitting your D visa application.

To submit a visa application, you will have to pay a service fee and a handling fee.

The service fee is the fee for VFS Global, and it is a fixed amount. This fee must be paid online when booking your appointment on the VFS Global Appointment System.

Optionally, you can pay for extra VFS-services (premium lounge, courier service, etc.) based on your choice. These additional services are not mandatory and they do not impact the visa processing. The use of optional premium services does not entail a faster visa processing.

The handling fee is for the processing of the visa and payment will be made at the time of your appointment. You can pay the handling fee in cash or by card at the Visa Application Centre. The handling fee of a visa varies and depends on the type of visa you are applying for.

There is no additional fee for the appointment. A visa appointment slot is always free of charge.
